ABOUT SIET
Shridevi Institute of Engineering & Technology (SIET) is an institution established in the year 2002 under the
auspices of Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust by the founder trustee Dr. M.R. Hulinaykar. The trust is also running
11 institutions in various fields – Paramedical, Nursing, Education, General Graduation, Engineering, Pre universities,
High Schools, Primary Schools, etc. with 7,000 students and about 1,000 employees.
The trust is also running a premier leading “Shridevi Hospital & Diagnostic Centre” in the heart of TUMKUR city.
SIET is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and recognized by Government of Karnataka under the approval from All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The institution has three blocks including main block which houses major departments. It has very good infrastructure having spacious lecturer halls, well equipped laboratory with all modern facilities. The facilities are highly qualified & experienced all departments. The institution provides very good academic ambience with effective teaching, learning process using modern facilities. The concept of e-campus is initiated providing Smart cards for paperless & hassle free administration. Each student & parents can access the information through Internet. The institution has student strength of 1,200 different states and diverse back grounds in India.

LOCATION:
The campus of the institution SIET is spread over 60 acres of land in tranquil atmosphere with calm and serene surroundings. The bush lawns and trees growing up have created a cool and pleasureful atmosphere most suited to studies. The campus is situated at 4 kms from Tumkur Railway Station and 3 Kms from Tumkur Bus stand on the route connecting the city to NH-4 towards Sira town.
The Tumkur city, a hub of educational institutions has an excellent study environment with fascinating blend of urban sophistication and rustic delight is just about 70 kms from “IT and BT Capital” Bangalore city. Tumkur is slated to become satellite city of Bangalore and is well connected by express roads and railways.
