SPORT ‘N’ GAMES

Report on the sports events for the academic year 2003 – 2004
1. Ball-badminton team in VTU tournament jointly organized by VTU & Vivekanada institute of engineering and technology.

2. Kantharaju P. (V sem CSE) selected to represent VTU team in All India Inter university campetition at Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu, in 2004-2005

3. Nair govindh muralidhar (IV Sem BT) & Rajanikanth Biradar(II sem BT) participated in swimming competition held at Basavana-gudi swimming pool jointly organized by VTU & Bangalore Institute of Technology. (Apr 2004)

4. Volleyball team participated in Volleyball competition held at DayanadSagar Collage of Engineering, Bangalore. Organized by VTU & DayanadSagar Collage of Engineering (8th, 9th, April 2004)

5. Nandeesh (IV E&C) participated in university team selection (Volleyball) held at Bijapur (April 2004)

6. Cricket team participated in leather ball tournament organized by CIT Gubbi, won second position .

7. Football team participated in football competition held at SIT Tumkur, Organized by VTU & Siddaganga Institute of Technology. (17th, April 2004)

8. Conducted 18 sports events team/ Individual for men/ women as a part of annual sports day.

9. Invited Ms. Rosakutty (Winner of Arjuna award) for the inaugural function of annual sports and cultural day.

10. Procured sports items worth Rs 20,000, for the academic year 2003 – 2004, which include, Table tennis board, Cricket set (leather), gymnasium items.

11. Cricket, handball, volleyball courts are prepared in the campus.
